People often want to know a little about me and why I’m so excited and passionate about this work.   😊

As a graduate of the University of Florida and Baylor College of Medicine and a board-certified medical doctor and practicing pediatrician for more than two decades, I actually didn’t start out studying and embracing integrative holistic medicine …

But we doctors are human, too, and I found myself struggling with my own chronic health issues in the early 2000s.

After consulting with countless professionals, taking medications for months and years on end, and even undergoing an unnecessary surgical procedure, nothing seemed to work and I finally decided to go back to the basics …

In 2008, I made some simple yet profound changes to my diet and lifestyle habits that helped me eliminate ALL of the symptoms I had struggled with for years in just four short weeks!

This experience led me to study and focus more on nutrition and integrative and holistic medicine, and I went on to receive board certification from The American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM) in 2009.

I developed the “Awe-some” program in 2010 for the children in my clinic in Salem, Oregon, where I worked from 2010 to 2017 and saw some amazing results. Diet and lifestyle changes had a profoundly positive health impact on the children in my practice.

Well, I thought … if five-year-olds can do it, why not adults?!?

Since that time, by combining lifestyle and nutrition with evidence-based science, supplements, and mind-body emotional and spiritual understanding, I’ve helped thousands of people to extend not only their lifespans but their “healthspans,” increase their energy levels, reduce or eliminate their reliance on or need for medications, feel better about themselves and thoroughly enjoy their lives.

I’ve also designed a simple three-step blueprint (The EDGE) that has led many women to successfully achieve their health and wellness goals, and eliminate diseases with grace and ease.

And I’ve shared the program I initially developed, along with many of the astounding clinical results it helped create, in my first book, Project L.O.V.E. (Lifestyle Optimization Victoriously Established).

I’m now finishing my second book, Naked Health Book: Health Hacks for Happiness and Healthspan, and will be introducing my first online course, Fun Fit Living, that is designed to help women like you implement my proven, three-step, habit-forming strategy that can transform your life in just 3-4 weeks in as little as 10 minutes a day.

Going through these health issues myself has opened my eyes and heart to be even more empathic, as I’ve gained greater insight and understanding of the other side of being “a patient.” I was my very first case study.

As a medical professional, I’m constantly studying our physical natures and why things work the way they do.

But as a woman, I’m concerned about results … just like you, I want to be healthy, happy, and look and feel great.   😉

When it comes down to it, we’re all energetic beings, including mental, physical, and emotional aspects. Accordingly, we need to address these various aspects of our selves and the influence of our environment, together with how we interact and feel about the world around us, in order to have a profound impact on our health and happiness.
