As the biggest organ in your body, and for anyone who cares about their health and look, skin is a window to your health and well-being more than most realize.

Grace:

You may have heard “beauty comes from within” or “she is beautiful from inside and out.”

You probably noticed when someone is in a “good mood” the person can be glowing with happiness and joy. What about the opposite? Even a gorgeous person may diminish their charm and look with a “bad mood” effect.

Liver:

Your liver is one of the most important detoxifying organs in your body.

To keep your liver functioning well, your intake of water and the right foods with less toxins should be your living mantra.

The most common toxic substance is alcohol. Reducing the burden on your liver by minimizing medicine such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) and alcohol can help lessen the workload of your liver.

Across all ages, sugar has been a common destroyer of health goals. This is not surprising though, because studies showed sugar stimulates the “pleasurable zone” in our brain eight times more than cocaine. Drug-naïve rats when released into a cage with sugar or cocaine as options mostly choose sugar over cocaine.

Liver-friendly foods include cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower), dandelion, artichoke, nuts and seeds, garlic, onion, green tea, olive oil, and fatty fish. Just be aware, common toxins such as alfalfa toxin can be commonly found in peanuts and dried chili and can cause liver cancers.

Alkalinize:

Alkalinize your blood with lemon or lime juice in your drinking water and by adding more vegetables in your food choices.

Mindfulness:

A clear mind is a beautiful mind. Telomeres, which are the end caps of your chromosomes, can be lengthened with meditation. Telomere length has been associated with increased lifespan. Meditation’s health benefits have been studied and shown extensively.

Optimism:

Without a doubt, positive thinking and optimized mindset pave your way to success and happiness.

Rest:

Relaxation, rest, and sleep are definitely essential to overall well-being and skin rejuvenation. Repair of cellular structure mostly happens at night and growth hormone level is correlated with sleep. Growth hormone tends to decline with age. Beauty sleep is real!!

You:

You are definitely valued and counted as an intricately important part of glowing skin from within.
